slightly worried!

DD woke up in the early hours of Monday morning complaining of headache, anyway she managed to get back to sleep but when i woke her for school she still had it! I gave her some calpol and took her to school as normal! Anyway when i collected her from school she said she still had it and had had it all day at school...queue more meds when we got home!
Woke her this morning for school and she STILL has headache so now i'm slightly worried especially as i googled headaches in children and it basically said that they may experience one headache a year which lasts no more than 30 minutes i know, i shouldn't have googled, but i was just curious as to what could cause her to have headache for so long! I've managed to get an appointment at the docs for 10am anyway, hopefully he can shed some light on it!

There are so many reasons for headaches it's probably nothing to worry about. Hope that she's ok??

It will probably be nth but every headache at children that lasts more than 1 h or Dosent to away with sleep has to be investigated. Good for you for takin her to the doctors.
Maybe she need glasses?

Thanks Ladies, the doc checked her over and apart from the sniffles and a slight cough shes ok, she did say i have to give her paracetamol throughout today and that if she wakes tomorrow and still has it then i have to take her back but the doc said shes not worried and doesnt think its anything sinister! As for her eyes, she had an eye test a couple of weeks ago and that came back fine, that was my first thought tbh until i remembered lol (baby brain)
DD seems ok in her self anyway and i still got the "can i have a sausage roll and a bun" off her while in town at the docs so she cant be that poorly haha!!

Me too hun, just asked her if she still has it and she said no so the medicine must be working, we shall see if it stays away now fingers crossed, schools gonna think i'm taking the p**s she had 2 days off last week with a high temp and cough and now today grrrr!!! Kids lol xx

If she's had a cold could it be a sinus headache maybe?

yeah i never thought of that tbh and she is very snotty at the mo too, constantly sniffling etc! Good thinking hun well hopefully it will be gone by tomorrow, shes fast on now bless, just checked in on her (force of habit from her been a baby haha) xx
