I spent alot of time and effort ensuring little legs has a great bedtime routine. He is so good goes to bed at six thirty and sleeps through till 7ish.

But I want him to snuggle up in bed with me Joe is on nights and I have managed to resist putting him in with me for the past 2 nights but feel I may crack tonight

why am I doing this? I spent months being adament that if he woke during the night we sorted him out in the nursery and he didn't get in our bed!

I'm the same hon. I love him sleeping in his own bed but sometimes love a snuggle in my bed too.... H still spends some parts of some nights in with us - although a lot in his own cot. Hard one cos in some ways I want him in his own room but still love a sleepy cuddle too.... xxx

It must be hard to resist......I have an idea.....snuggle the dog

When OH is away which is pretty rare, I have the pooches on the bed with me....I plan their bath round it!

I guess narla is getting bathed tomorrow then :)

get some cheapo coconut shampoo from the supermarket.....mmmmm.....

I feel like that sometimes too, OH works nights.

Then I remember that AJ wiggles and kicks and generally doesnt sleep well in the big bed :eh: so I go alone.

(My dog takes over the bed! I like my space!! :D)

i like a snuggle too. when we were kids my sisters and i always ended up in mum and dads bed. Rosie is 2 now and in a proper bed so when she wakes up i go snuggle in her bed!

I will never go back to having Rosie in the bed! Over two weeks now and she is sleeping through the night in her cot, not once has she been back in our bed. I really did miss her being snuggled up to me tho!

I never been able to have Evie in our bed, she likes her own space and just doesn't settle, although she sleeps through in her nursery I'm very jealous of those who have been able to co-sleep even for a few nights when they were tiny, sometimes you just need a cuddle xx

It's so tempting to share the bed, but I know a couple whose 5 year-old son can't sleep in his own bedroom at night and insists on sleeping with them still...and they're NOT happy!

A bit of discipline now will pay dividends later!

wEll I didn't cave in :yay: and MM narla managed to escape upstairs at half 4 this morning but I couldn't be bothered to get up and put her back in the kitchen so I got a cuddle of her anyway

That would drive me nuts so in a way I guess we're lucky as I know if Evie had settled I would've ended up co-sleeping because I'm weak :)

Well done for not giving in :yay: xx

Wow loads of us have OH's who work nights, it just works doesn't it when you have kids, we work in the day and they work in the night, double bubble!! we did the reverse when they were small and I was home in day, worked at night, (half nights) and OH did days. /we swapped back when OH got made redundant

I wouldn't share my bed with the boys, they fling themselves over the place and are really annoying, but my daughter will come in and she knows the rules and is as good as gold and we chat now shes 8 - lovely time

Liam is building us a cot that attaches completely to the bed so we can have our own space but still co-sleep

i think babies should co-sleep for as long as they need to, i draw the line (for my own sanity) at 4 but at 3 i will start trying to get them into their own room because it should be seen as a good thing not a scary or a bad one.
