Connie loves her bouncer seat but is it ok for her to spend most of day in it as when she falls asleep in it as I put her in the cot she wakes up.

I think it's similar to a car seat in that when they're very young they shouldn't be in it too long in one go as it would put pressure on their spine. Some bouncy chairs have a full recline and I'd guess they were fine but I wouldn't let Becky sleep for too long in the one we've got that's only got one position.

Hannah used to sleep in hers never did her any harm

When Angel was 3 weeks old she was full of cold. My HV told me to either raise her mattress at night or let her sleep in her bouncer! She hated her bouncy chair at the time and i didn't feel comfortable me sleeping while she was in it but i guess if they say it's ok then why not during the day. I mean nights are at least 8 hours, with the quick feed in between.

Logan often sleeps in his bouncer when he falls asleep straight after a bottle, because if he's totally flat he's often sick!
I used to hold him so much in the early days I figured he wasn't any flatter in he bouncer than he was in my arms!

Both Seren ad Cally hhave slept in their seat but it reclines fully flat and is supportive. I personally wouldn't put them in one that didn't recline but thats just me.

I tend to view them like infant carriers. Ok for an hour or two but not somewhere for longer than that, at least not on a regular basis. And defo not spending too much time overall each day in one.

I'd not do most of the day including sleeps tbh. I'd be gradually trying to get her to settle in a basket for daytime sleeps. You say 'cot' so am guessing you mean proper cot in the bedroom over a basket or some such downstairs? She is still small so of course likes to be snug and cosy to sleep. I'd look to trying a sling or some such perhaps.
