I've currently got Alfie in a 1 tog and has been since April/may time. He doesn't have blankets because he tries to kick them off as soon as you get near him
Anyway, over the "summer" he's either been in that, or in a sleep suit or a vest depending on how warm it gets. He is now rapidly outgrowing this one and will be needing a new one within the next week or so.
Do I buy another 1 tog or do I buy a 2.5 as we're coming up to the colder months?
I use a gro egg in his bedroom and it's usually between 20.5 and 21.5. At the moment with his 1 tog and a sleep suit, when I get him up his arms are a little cool and his feet but he's comfortable in the night. He's always slept better when he's a little cooler but never woke when he's been cold either
Our house has always been a cold house but this spring we had our roof and cavity wall insulation finally done (there was no insulation anywhere in the house before!) so I'm not sure how warm the house will be this winter.
If I haven't bored you to tears with my rambling, what would be my best option?
With a lighter tog I can always add layers such as a vest and drape a light blanket/sheet over the top. Or do I just go for a heavier tog and strip him down for the moment in just a vest or bed?
