sleeping alot still

leland will be 3 weeks corrected on tue so 9 weeks , but his still sleeping soooo much ! is this normal ? do your lil prem babes still sleep so much ?

my baby will be 3 weeks corrected on wednesday, 13 weeks on sunday. he too sleeps quite a lot , he is roughly awake 1 hour from beginning of feed . i feed him every 4 hours but during the night he tends to go 5 hours.he sometimes is awake a couple of hours in the evening around 9pm but he sleeps mostly during the day.i think it is quite normal as i believe generally we have to go by the 'corrected age'. i sometimes worry that he sleeps too much but i guess we just have to wait for them to grow

Yeah - this is normal... In fact I posted a similar topic a few weeks back.

My LO is now nearly 12 weeks (5 weeks corrected) and still sleeps quite a lot (he weight over 12lbs now). But my HV said that as he's still really only just over a month, I don't need to try and force him to have waking up times yet.

Some days he's awake for several stretches of an hour or 2 for playtime, but yesterday for instance he slept ALL day and then decided between 2-5am this morning was a good time to be awake & want to play

completely normal my LO was born at term and is now 11 wks and he still sleeps loads! He is back in his cot now (has been since 9) after gettign up at 7.30 for breakfast. 1-1.5 hours is all he manages awake before he stst to get grumpy and tired amd that is even with sleeping really well overnight now .
