Jasper was awake for lots of yesterday (and most of the night little bugger) and today has slept ALL day, waking only for feeds and then going down again

is this normal and okay? hes 3 weeks old, i thought they were supposed to be being more awake around this age? or is that not right?

thanks

worrying mumma

oscars sleeping pattern is hit and miss and he's 5 weeks, he can have a sleepy day, or not but i think he know's when it's bedtime cos he's snuggled with me in bed.

Nell on the other hand was the easiest baby ever and slept for about 20 hours of the day from day 1 for about 4 months. Bliss lol x

I think they can still sleep a hell of a lot at 3 weeks x

thanks Amy xxx I worry needlessly i think! plus people are determin to tell me i will never suceed with breastfeeding using a shield etc etc am gutted.

Don't we all lol

I just saw Kiki's post on the other thread and her baby started BF at 3 months after having expressed for that long. That sounds really hopeful. And shields or not, you're still BF and determined :)

hi hun, my little man is 3 weeks old and he's quite a sleepy baby - only really wakes for an hour for his feeds then usually nods straight back off! when he is awake he's very alert but as soon as that bottle is empty and he's been winded, he's out for four hours til next feed is due xx
