Hi, following on from my posts about my baby's dreadful sleep habits I was just wondering what other people's babies do when they are tired & how quickly you act on them/what you do when you spot them? Im watching Isaac like a hawk at the moment as want to make sure I'm putting him down at the right time, but he really doesn't give much away & even if he does seem tired he's wide awake when he gets to his cot!

I put her down the moment I catch H rubbing her eyes. She tends to go down fine with no problems if I do it at this moment, if she gets to rubbing her eyes more than 3 times she screams the house down and I struggle getting her to sleep by this time. Hope this helps x

I'm the same, I look for sleepy slow blinks and yawns then put him down straight away. From that point you have 20 minutes approx till they're overtired so we have a little cuddle then put him down xx

Great thread . I've been struggling with stopping the cues . I put ruby in her cot when I catch her rubbing eyes but she still won't sleep xxx

I put ralph down as soon as I see him start to touch his ears or starts to stare at something for more then 2 min and his eyes look like they are about to close xx

If Albert is really tired he forgets where his eyes are and rubs his fists on his forehead lol, other than that he just makes ooooo-ing noises til he's picked up

Alyssa dosent have any specific cues, sometimes she yawns and goes quiet and most of the time she turns into grumpy baby after an hour and a half of being awake, sometimes a lil less sometimes more. she never goes more than 2 hours between naps so i know to put her down after an hour and a half

G rubs her eyes/nose. And gets a wee bit grumpy. We're still fighting sleep sp it's kinda hard sometimes. Xxx

On my iPhone - so cant see tickers :(

H starts by rubbing his eyes and staring off into space he then gets a bit grumpy, I then pick him up and he throws himself back like he is trying to lie down. I then put him down for his nap if it is the right time to sleep he looks to his left at the side of the pushchair, if I have put him down too early he tries to pull himself forward.
xxx
