silly question

Dont laugh, but do babies get bored with milk?
my baby is having less milk than he ever has. he has gone down to 4 bottles as he stopped waking for his 1100ish night feed so i didnt wake him and he has slept through for weeks now. so i have been making 7oz bottles as im now worried he does not have enough in the day but after 5 oz he has had enough and just plays with the teat. he is 4 / 6 months old ( he was 2 months early) and not weaned yet . could it be a sign of needing to wean if he is 'bored ' with milk?
i thought they guzzle it down and not satisfied is a sign for weaning?!?
what do u think? x he is happy,well and sleeping .

you probably could start trying tastes of food but i wouldnt take that as a sign of ready to be weaned some babies just arent that hungry. My son isnt at all. He has 4 7oz bottles a day at 7am,11,4 and before bed at around half 7. sometimes he only drinks half the middle ones. and he always sleeps through. hes perfectly happy and content, just not a big eater.

thanks for your reply. i guess im just a bit more paranoid as he is prem and i drive people crazy as i am a bit obsessed with him putting on weight! I too feed him roughly the same time as you he had his full 7oz this morning but his 1130 feed he had just 5 oz.thanks again x

and if it puts your mind at rest anymore he was 7lbs 2oz born and hes only 14lbs 14oz now at nearly six months. Hes not thin at all just not a chunky baby. hes just has chicken legs like his dad
