i am losing an unplanned baby- one that neither me nor my boyf were ready for and were dare i say devastated about having thrust upon us- however we had both come to terms with it and me even- maybe coz i was the pregnant one actually went further than accepting and got excited. i am now really upset and wish i was still pregnant.

my boyf (shockingly!) said to me if i want to we can TTC in the new year! i'v ALWAYS wanted to ttc, its such a grown-up thing to do, must be so exciting and thats how it *should* be. one of the (many) things i cried about when i got my bfp last week was that both my BFP's i was crying and caused crisis talks with my boyf. it shouldnt be like that, i want to get a bfp TOGETHER and be HAPPY about it. thats how it should be! a bfp should be a joy!

anyway even tho i WASNT ready before and i WOULDNT have wanted to ttc *just yet* if i hadnt had this pregnancy, now i do. i wanna try in the new year! is this just a natural reaction after a m/c tho?

how many in here are ttc after the loss of an unplanned baby? would u recommend it? or should i let my emotions settle

i'd really like to come in this bit- i'v "belonged" to nearly all the bits of the forum now- all the tri's, the parenting, and now m/c and loss. and soon when millie's older will be able to post in older children but never thought i could post in here! should i come in? what do u think!!

ps not now tho! he said in new year (hope he dont change his mind!) i might change MY mind back again before then tho.

Only you and your boyfriend can really decide whether you want to ttc or not. If you are wanting to have another baby then joining the TTC is one of the best things (there are a couple of fellas that come on every so often so if your boyfriend wanted to join as well he will be welcome :) ) You will learn sooo much from us crazy bunch and to be truthful I would of gone mad by now ttc without this forum and my TTC buddies

If you are planning on starting in the new year then it might be wise to start taking folic acid or some sort of pregnacare as the doctors did tell me that I should start taking it 3 months before TTC.

There are people that have joined the ttc part but are not actively TTC until the new year.

As A&J said it is up to you and your BF but you would be very welcome :D

ditto on the folic acid too, good luck

hey trix

firstly want to give you some hugs

and i dont really have advice about ttc but if it was me i would like you say wait until new year...that way things will have time to 'calm down' and you both maybe able to make a the right decsion..an I also wanted to say i know exactly what you mean about wanting to ttc and it be a joyful occasion seeing PREGNANT!! not a feeling of o sh!t..im gutted about that myself cos as you know mia wasnt planned and im never gonna have that ttc thing....so basically just wanted to say your not on your own with that feeling..

good luck though hun in whatever you both decide to do xxx

Hello babes, first of all i want to say im so sorry, but im pleased that your bf wants to ttc again!

I would say give your body 8 weeks to recover. But in the meantime you could start taking multi vits and folic acid so your body is more prepared next time.

It's really up to the two of you hun - but you're definitely welcome!!!

We are ttc are a m/c. We got married in July & just after we got back from honeymoon I suffered a m/c but didn't know I was pregnant. We said we'd wait until after the wedding to start ttc #2 so after the m/c we thought it was the right time anyway. Tbh we are not actively trying at the moment, I just wanted to see if it would happen without getting all stressed about it. AF came today & we are going to really start ttc this month as I'm getting impatient!

Yay Trixi - Good idea :cheer:

Hope you're bearing up well
