Hi all! I am 8w 2d today and over the weekend, I've been waking up feeling really shaky and weak. I also have this overwhelming exhaustion that makes me feel like I'm going to pass out. It's almost like a "doom" feeling. Last time I was at the doctors my blood pressure was 85/50 and they said as long as I'm not having any symptoms it should be fine. But now that I am, I'm a little worried. Should I just go ahead and go in?

Just had my blood pressure checked (I work at a surgery center) and it was 138/83 and my pulse was 100.

I work in a surgery and my blood pressure was 87/53 and i feel just a bit out of it really. Might be worth a call to docs if you're feeling unwell. Only advice I've got is to drink lots of water xx

Could you be anaemic? Sometimes that can make you feel all rubbish and shakey. Your gp would be able to do a blood test to check, or if your midwife appointment is soon they check it there

Sorry to hear that you have been unwell :( hope it passes soon.

I have low blood pressure and have bad "dips" where I feel awful (shaky, clammy, faint etc). Been checked out by the cardiologist and told me there isn't much they can do (unlike high BP). It gets worse with atmospheric pressure changes (i.e during storms). He said that when I get pregnant, I would spend a nice proportion of my time on the floor (lol, thanks - can't wait for that). He suggested upping the salt intake in food and he said one cup of coffee can make the difference and is "safe" during pregnancy. My GP read the cardiologist report and said no OB/GYN would recommend coffee- so not sure!

Always best to see a doctor to check it out. Another thing to consider is anxiety/ panic? Not sure if you have a history of anxiety, but thought I might mention it x

Thanks ladies. <3

I went to my doctor and they took my BP again and it had gone back down to normal. He suggested it could be anxiety. I don't know about that. I woke up feeling sick and shaky, it's not like I had been laying in bed getting super anxious and got shaky from it. haha. I think my morning BP would've been way different had they checked it during the time I wasn't feeling well. I've also had anxiety before and I know this wasn't it. It has been super rainy and stormy outside so maybe that had something to do with it. Barometric pressure?

I'm just glad it went back down. They did an ultrasound too to help me feel better and we saw a TINY little thing in there. It was a handheld ultrasound so the quality wasn't good, I could barely see anything. I can't wait to get my first real ultrasound. This morning I did feel a lot better though. My next appointment is in 2 weeks and I'm going to have them see if I'm anemic too. That's a good idea to get that checked.

Glad to hear the bp is back to normal - hopefully it was just a one off :) Definitely worth paying attention to your body next time there is a storm! Really interesting!

Hope the scan goes well :)
