Short period and shoulder tip pain

Looking for some advice.
I came on on Tuesday evening, 28 day cycle bang on time. Thursday lunch time the bleeding had stopped and nothing since. This isn't normal for me as I'm usually on for 5 days although 2 months ago I did have a 2 day bleed. I highly doubt it was implantation as it was heavy. I didn't have period pain but had really bad backache which isn't normal for me.
I've had pain in the tips of my shoulders for about a week and a half. I say pain, it's maybe 1 on a scale of 1 - 10, so hardly painful. It comes and goes and is in both shoulders alternately. I think it might be ever so slightly worse today, but still hardly painful. Googling just brings up ectopic pregnancy. Now I don't know 100% that this isn't what it is, but from what I know of ectopic pregnancy, I wouldn't have pain so early on and it would be bad shoulder tip pain rather than barely there pain. And I think you only get shoulder tip pain when things are pretty serious. So I think I can rule out ectopic.
I've had very on and off throbbing pain/feelings in my left ovary since a couple of days after ovulation. This isn't something I usually get, only at ovulation. Again it's not painful, it just makes me aware of my ovary.
I'm just wondering if anyone could shed any light on this? I don't really know if this is the right place to post this but I don't know where else to ask. Google just comes up with implantation bleeding and ectopic. I haven't tested as I came on on the day I was due to.
Thank you in advance for any advice x

I didn't want to read and run but this us something I've not come across before. Is it worth testing just in case? It is possible to bleed near your normal cycle even if you are pregnant in the 1st tri according to many doctors x

Thank you for your reply, I won't be able to get to the shop for a few days but when I do I'll see how I feel and possibly get one x

Definitely test. I had a short period that I thought was too heavy to be implantation with my first pregnancy. You might not be but worth doing one to rule it out if nothing else.
I find you are a lot more aware of any twinges when you are ttc. I always get 'symptoms '! X

Thanks Niknaknoo, did you get any back pain? It's just dawned on my today that about 4 days after I thought I had ovulated I got a throbbing in my left ovary much like ovulation pain. I'm wondering if what I've had is implantation bleeding, I can't get to the shop for a test for a few days which is frustrating.
I check my cp and hours before I started bleeding my cervix was medium/high, quite soft and tightly closed. Usually before I come on it's low, hard and at least slightly open. I'm probably looking too much into it but it's just got me wondering x

I can't say I remember having back pain but then it was a few years ago now! And I don't really know anything about cp, I've never checked!
Hopefully when you get to the shop you'll have some good news for us! X

From what I have learned so far (and I am still very much a novice) is that the typical CP right before, during and straight after a period is low, firm and closed. Before O it can be med, midway and soft (like your chin) then at O it's high, soft (like your lips) and open. Right after O it drops back down like just before you get a period. I think at this point, like everyone already said, a test will best tell you what's going on. I've heard of women who had normal periods right through pregnancy (or what they thought was normal) so bleeding might not signal a period for you if you are pregnant. I hope you will get the answers you want really soon...thinking of you!

Thank you. I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant although I've still not been able to get to the shop for a test. I did have sore nipples but they've gone. I have no pregnancy symptoms now but I still feel like something's not right. My left ovary has been throbbing/slightly painful since my period. Sometimes my right ovary throbs a bit too. I think I'm coming to ovulation now as my cp is soft, high, slightly open and wet but by now I've usually had a good few days of ewcm and my cm is wet/lotiony with bits of ewcm but not loads. I haven't had sex for a week but I feel like I've been kicked down below, everything feels bruised and sore. Oh and yesterday I got sharp shooting pains low down in the middle which made me clutch my tummy and double over, I've had it today but not as bad. I honestly don't know what's going on :(

Id do a test asap Hun. Even if it's negative phone your doc too. Years ago before ttc had even crossed my mind I had a cyst on my ovary. It's only indication was feeling ill at ovulation time ( I didn't know this at the time). I'm not saying this sounds the same but it's taught me to always get checked out. I lost an ovary and tube because of it.
You can never be too careful. X

I have a history of cysts too, large ones, I lost most of an ovary on one side and half on another. I was scanned 2 months ago because of some unusual pains but there was nothing there but I know how fast they can grow. I'm stuck without a car for god knows how long at the moment, but as soon as I can I'll test and book a Drs appt x

Order a test online and get it delivered if you are struggling to get out!

Awful business these cysts! Good you still have (part of) both ovaries. I'm absolutely petrified of having an ectopic in case I lose the other one.
