for about 2-3 weels now havana will not go to sleep.
at first she really fights her sleep then when she does go to sleep she is not having as much sleep as usual, and now when she goes down to bed at night she wakes after about 30mins like she has been to sleep for hours and wants to play.
she is really tired and rubbing her eyes but wont go to sleep
i really dont know what to do now

does she cry if you leace her? have you tried the super nanny trick where you sit in the room whilst its dark and stared straight ahead? if she tries to get your attention just keep looking ahead its a comfort that your there and she'll soon tire out and go to sleep

Hello!

What a nightmare for you. It's hard to know what to say. Could she be teething? Maddie has been appalling every night she's cut a new tooth though admittedly it only usually goes on for a couple of nights. When that's been the case we've found teething powders and gel have really helped and Calpol has helped if she's had a temperatue too.

I've also read that at around 9 months + babies are so much more stimulated, they don't want to sleep / eat because they want to practice doing things like crawling / standing up / walking etc. Perhaps if you're not already doing so, try a warm bath followed by milk and a story in her room just to take her away from stimulation for about an hour before she goes to bed.

Hope she settles down soon.
