Who is holding back in the early stages?

Is there any evidence to prove that sex can be dangerous at these crucial stages?

Just wondering?? not that I am a nymph!!! just dont want to rock the boat :?

Thanks

L xx

I'm waiting for a while only because when we did it a few weeks ago it was sore so I decided to leave it for now - maybe start again after the 12weeks scan?

I've only done it once since I found out I was pregnant and it was actually painful! Not been in the mood for it since! I think the changing hormone levels makes you a little *ahem* dry..! I think you're perfectly safe to do it at any stage, but it's what you feel comfortable with. Have you seen the midwife yet, they can normally advise on stuff like that

I've been quite wet

i got told to wait till after 12 weeks with this pregnancy but that was because i had bleeding early on. i had sex whith all my others in the 1st tri and everything was fine. talk to your m/w or gp and see what they say but it is fine to have sex all the way through

We did it a few times after finding out I was pregnant but then I said I wanted to wait til after scan.

There is no evidence that sex can cause any harm, they say if you have had bleeding or past problems then to not have it for first 12 weeks but it can't cause any harm.

I am 14 weeks now and still don't fully relaxed with sex, OH gets it a little as posssible!!! ha ha

Pfffttt sex what's that? I've gone right off it much to OH's upset!!

There's no problem with having sex in the first tri, but I tihnk they advise you not to if you have had bleeding other than that get humping! :rotfl:

ive gone off it but that is purely due to the feeling / being sick factor..

I have done after finding out and we both admitted altho we knew it was safe we felt a bit weird.

quote ' will i poke the baby? ' :rotfl:

They say it should be ok at any stage but if you have had any previous bleeding/problems then to give it a miss. Speak to your GP to check if your concerned.

I couldnt because I had lots of problems with bleeding up until a week ago. The doctor just gave me the all clear so we can start having sex again but my sex drive has gone completely since I became pregnant! In all my pregnancy books tho it says that sex will not harm you or baby during pregnancy

We have had sex as normal so far, I thought it was great but DH found it a little uncomfortable
