Ah Laura, I bought something similar from Amsterdam by the sounds of it. Gave the security guards a laugh at the airport as I had put all my 'purchases' in my hand luggage like a prat!! They put my bag through the xray machine 3 times !!!!!

Yeah they should be fine to use on ur OH i cant see them doing any harm
