Sex 5 days before ovulation? BFP?

Hi ladies, has anyone gotten pregnant having sex 5 days before expected period?

We did not use a condom then as I thought I was well before my fertile time, but my apps tell me misleading stuff, so we had sex on the 13th, my last period started on the 4th and lasted only 3 days (normally 5 days)

question, can a shorter period result in ovulating earlier or?

anyway my app says my ovulation was on the 18th so I don't know .. that would make me 8 DPO today so I can't test yet anyway

i've kinda had cramping since ovulation in my left side and 2 days ago and today I was suddenly very nauseous and then it went away, I even puked a bit in my kitchen sink :')

one app tells me that my fertile time was 13th-19th but ovia 15th-20th

so one would put me into the fertile time but ovia not...

If it’s just an app you’re using to tell you when you ovulate it could easily be off, apps just use averages and aren’t very accurate used on their own.

Are you using opks too?

Basically what I’m getting at is you could have ovulated less than 5 days after dtd if you’re only going by your app.

Like Rainbow said, app’s are only based on average length cycles so you shouldn’t really rely on them to tell you your ovulating.
If you are 8DPO you can test within the next couple of days with a FRER. That would be the only way to tell if you was pregnant.

Apps are often wrong, especially if you don't use opks. You had sex on cycle day 10, which could lead to pregnancy if your cycles are anywhere near average. How many days are your cycles? Apps take a few months to get more accurate and work better with opks.

They are 28 days

I got a negative 10dpo this morning with a clear blue plus test .. dont have frer in iceland

I have more tests but with both my sons i got a positive 9 and 10 dpo so i think im out

I had weird snotty eggwhite cm earlier tho that i dunno what is i never get that.. was snot colored like dark yellow

Sorry you got a negative but's still early. You can get funny CM before AF because your estrogen is up.

the only way to know for certain when O happens is by bbt charting. Opks only detect the LG surge that happens before O. Sometimes you can have a surge, fail to O and then another surge happens days later which is missed.
The shift in core temp detected by bbt charting confirms when O happens.

@napoli, I don't have Frer in Belgium either but they sell it under a different name, Predictor Early. I recently discovered this while checking out hpts in the shop.
