Settling at night

Ellis has taken to going to bed at 7ish but nearly falling asleep on the bottle.

He sleeps for 30 mins then wakes up screaming till i go and pick him up. I hold him for count of 100 then put him down, but then is awake screaming again every 20-30 mins till about 10pm.

I am planning to make my counts smaller and smaller till he is being up down awake but it seems like a long process.

Any suggestions.

EDIT he is also very upset in day at min so think he might be teething again, but i gave him calpol before bed and he is still waking?!

have you tried a dummy just to comfort him?
