I have had tendonitis (sp) in my right hand from mouse use for a couple of years now, but that doesnt really bother me as it only flares up now and again...but I have another problem now that I had never heard of before and think everyone should be aware of!

I now have Cubital Tunnel Syndrome in my left hand/arm

This is caused by leaning on my elbow with my head resting on my hand, while using the pc.

IF YOU DO THIS....PLEASE STOP!!!!!!

Cubital Tunnel Syndrome, if untreated, can result in muscle wasting and in severe cases...loss of a finger!!!!!

Due to this, I have lost all feeling in my little finger completely, down the side of my ring finger, and side of my hand. If it doesnt repair itself with anti-inflammatories, I may need to wear a plastic splint for 6 weeks to keep my elbow straight, and if that fails....surgery, with 6 weeks recovery.

Here is some details on Cubital Tunnel Syndrom

So, if you are in the habit of leaning on your elbow while using the PC, please be aware of the risks. I had no idea about this!

Well I went to the docs this morning who has given me ibuprofen for a month, if that doesnt clear it then I will have to see a specialist for further tests.

Great start to the new year! :rotfl:

As I was reading your post hun, I had my left elbow on the table resting my chin in my hand, while reading I gradually moved it away :rotfl: thanks for the advice and I hope that you get better soon

Xxx

I lean in that position all the time while im on the net, i will try to stop now!
