Hey ladies,
How do you get stuff done with a little one to look after? I don't feel prepared for this baby at all we haven't found out the gender yet I've got a few weeks but I've got the nursery painted and a cot gifted by a friend so that's sorted but I don't feel like I've got clothes done or anything I saved a lot of my sons and a lot of it is neutral but barely any new born or up to one month stuff at all (cannot remember what I did with it) so I spoke to the hubby he wasn't even going to buy anything but expect family to buy it which this is their 5th grandchild so I don't expect it and as lovely as it is I got to pick this cot and got to pick some small bits this time it's lovely If they offer but I don't ever expect them too that's unfair! The cot is up but no bedding in it it's just nice to have it all sorted and ready even though it's a while away. Is it possible I'm beating this early? I feel very unsure of what I'm doing because well baby brain is so much worse this time and I feel unwell most days just don't want to feel like I'm the only one haha xxx

Honestly i'm still organising stuff and i'm due in 5 days!! Don't stress yourself out you have plenty of time, everything will slot into place :) Just chill out whilst you're still feeling rotten and save it for nearer the end of the pregnancy when time is dragging and you're desperately looking for jobs to do! I wish I still had more to buy and do as i'm just completely bored now.. xx

Ive got quite big age gaps between mine (10, 4 and 33 weeks preg), so the other 2 help me out! Theyre both really good and have helped with the babies room etc. How people with smaller age gaps do it, i don't know! x

I'm going to have 3 under 3. Basically routine is everything! Also my two year old loves helping with boring household things! For some reason she is obsessed with loading the washing machine which is a great help to me as I can hand her the things and she puts them in meaning I don't have to bend down! Both of them think hoovering is a great game, she gets her Hoover out too and copies me and he just crawls around laughing at us chasing him. I just have to cram in jobs where I can. I also got them so they both have a two hour nap at the same time but now I'm pregnant again and exhausted I'm napping with them rather than doing jobs in that time. You have loads of time yet before you need to worry shot clothes etc! X

Thanks ladies I'm glad I'm not alone in this. Seems like a few of you have little helpers :) which is adorable our son is 16 months he tidys his toys away and helps put bibs and stuff where they should go which is fab but he's still only little so he has little jobs to do which he's pretty good at just wondering where all the clothes have disappeared to I think I have them to my sister in law haha xxx

I have 2 girls, 4 and 2 and one due in a couple of weeks. I dont know the sex of this one but have just washed absoloutely everything, even the not so neutral stuff and all the dresses and outfits. Im a bit obsessed with cleaning and soap at the mo so this wasnt a bad task for me. I figure so what if its a boy and its wearing a bit of pink? We'll figure out it's wardrobe when we need too.
It's bedroom is still our office/work studio/spare room but again, its going to be in our room, most likely in our bed for the first 6 months anyway. Whats the point in rushing?
In terms of the actual pregnancy, without wanting to jinx anything, this has been the easiest. I've just kept really active and it's helped loads. I was lucky as my youngest decided she wanted to use the potty just before i got pregnant, so she was around 18 months. Not changing nappies in pregnancy is such a joy! She's now 2yrs 3 months and can dress herself (takes a lifetime though) and is great at feeding herself so is quite independent. Hopefully she doesn't regress when the baby is here.
Basically my attitude to newborness is generally 'survival mode' so im not going to care about routines or creating bad habits in the early weeks. I know all that can be dealt with later on. That's just for the baby, routine is crucial for the older two otherwise all hell breaks loose.
Anyway Ill circle back in a month when im ib the full throw of newborn madness and let you know if im still so positive about it all!!

You're doing well don't fret you've got plenty of time :) I'm on number 5 now and I still feel the same with not being prepared in time lol! Think it's a natural feeling as a mum we need to be prepared for everything lol!
