Hi girls!

I have my second scan today @ 4pm, and the doctor has told me we will be able to see / hear the heartbeat. Very exciting...

I am a little worried though, as I am not happy with the hospital the doctor wants me to have the baby in... I have heard some nightmare stories about it. So I think I may have to change doctors, which is disappointing...

Anyway, will let you know how scan goes.

Woo hoo! I am back...

Everything is going great! My little lentil is now 10 mm in length and boy does his / her heart beat fast!!!

My doctor said I am having a fantastic pregnancy, and things could not be going better. So relieved...

Blood tests to look forward to next week. Eek!!

Awww congratulations Ani that must be so lovely to know that everything is ok :D xxx

aww thants really good, glad everythings going well for you, i want an early scan, was it expensive?? xxx

By the way Charlotte, I paid for a private reassurance scan at 7 weeks and it cost us £50.

Well worth it in my opinion.

Not at all... I dont mind.

On the screen I could see the gestational sac and the yolk sac, and then he zoomed in and we could see a blob and a blinking dot, which was the heartbeat. Then he turned up the sound and we heard the heartbeat (it was SO fast) and then he changed the settings again, and we could see the blood being pumped around the embryo's body. Absolutely amazing.... :)
