So I found out I'm pregnant at only 10/11dpo and my periods not even due until Monday. I was so happy, but now I've read that there's a 75% chance of losing it in weeks 1 & 2. :( Did anyone else find out early & have successful pregnancies?

There's nothing I can do to ease my worries tried taking another test this morning and it's still extremely faint I was hoping it would be loads darker it's 12/13dpo. :(

Just wanted to get it off my chest really. xxx

I found out at 10dpo with all three of my pregnancies but I also had two miscarriages where I found out at 10dpo so there is no real indication of success. But don't worry it takes quite a few days for tests to get darker. If you do a clear blue digi and get 1-2 weeks it will probably be a full week before you get a 2-3 and at that point would get a very dark line most likely on another type of test x

I think 75% might be a bit of an exageration because I've never really seen propper evidence to back it up. Even if it is true it includes eggs that never implant propperly which means you wouldnt even get a BFP so you have made it past the biggest risk already. Early MC risks are still scary but try not to let it spoil the special time of being pregnant :).

Thank you for your replies. Sorry to hear about your miscarriages Rose83. X

I thought the risk was high, and when you put it like that it does make me feel a little better thank you.

I'm a natural worrier, once I get past AF due date I may relax a little. X

I found out early with all but one of my pregnancies.

1st- 10dpo - had my son, 2nd- 10dpo - mmc at 6 weeks, 3rd - 9dpo - mmc at 8 weeks, 3rd - no idea as I had a period like bleed and suspected ectopic, 4th - 10dpo - current pregnancy at nearly 30 weeks.

When you find out you're pregnant will have no impact on the success of your pregnancy.

Darkness of a test is also no real indication of how successful a pregnancy is going to be either. The early days are so stressful and worrying but just take it one day at a time.

Congratulations and I hope all goes well for you.

I've also found out at 10dpo with all 4 of my pregnancies, 3 successful and 1 sadly MC but not until 8 weeks. These first few weeks are so scary and I often wished to be one of those ladies who didn't know they were pregnant until they give birth so as to skip the scary bit haha! Congratulations on your pregnancy Hun, just try to keep busy and take each day as it comes xxx

Thank you ams25, and Emily0505, and so sorry about your MCs, it's always so sad to hear.

It is so hard not to worry but I'm going to try my best as the stress won't be helping LO. I've just grown so attached to it already thinking about how the little one will be, probably shouldn't have.

Thank you all! xxx

It's impossible not to get attached though. From the moment you see that second line on a test you start to bond, you start to wonder who they'll be, will it be a boy or a girl etc? Even with this pregnancy, which I tried so hard to distance myself from as I was convinced it would be another loss, I couldn't help but get attached.

Just do what you can to try and relax and stay calm. Easier said than done though I know.

Yeh definitely as when I first found out I wasn't really aware there was such a high risk.

We've been to the forest today, so my minds been taken off it at least! And it's my birthday on Monday! :) xxx

I forgot to add, my tests took a good few days to get darker with this pregnancy, in fact I got BFP at 10dpo and a total BFN at 11dpo! I was freaking out as you can imagine. The levels of hormone are still tiny at this early stage so they can change a lot depending on the amount of dye in the test or whether you have drunk more or pees more that day! Even if you have been warm in the night and sweated a bit. So try not to read too much into the tests Hun xx

On the same type test??

I got a negative 10/11dpo on one type and a positive on another. Now faint positives on the one I got a negative on. So I'm taking that as a good sign..

I've also got a little bit of backache like period is coming. But then I have just walked half way up a mountain so I won't read too much into that just yet xxx

Also I'm sure chance of MC is 25% not 75% Hun. The issue with finding out early is that women now know they were pregnant even in a chemical pregnancy which is a mc in the first few days... years ago before tests were so sensitive, they would just think their period was a bit late but because the tests are so good now, a lot more extremely early pregnancies that do end in MC are detected, whereas a few years ago they wouldn't have been picked up on as the lady wouldn't have known she was pregnant. If that makes sense xx

Yeah it's the chemical pregnancy I'm fearing. OH basically said don't get too excited yet just in case. :(

I get you yeah, I'm kind of wishing I didn't test then I wouldn't have known... but then of course I want to know my baby exists, even if it was just a few days. Ah. Just a worrier. I know I should just be happy and grateful to even have gotten the BFP, just want to fast forward to Monday when AF is due think I'll feel better then. xxx

I dont think the worry ever goes away but I found it helped me to look at pregnancy as a blessing and do my best to enjoy each day Ihad with my little bean. After a CP my first pregnancy I feel like I wasted a lot of my next pregnancy worrying. That pregnancy and my next went well. Sadly I then had a loss at 10 weeks. Ironically I think I was the least stressed that pregnancy but I don't regret it as I feel like at least I have some good memories.
