Scan tomorrow!

Hi girls,

I'm CD12 tomorrow and got my first follicle tracking scan for this cycle.
I reeeally hope there is something happening, otherwise it's onto injections for me.
Last time I had one follicle grow up to 14mm after taking 2.5mg letrozole, and I have taken 5mg this cycle so I hope it's the extra amount my body needs to work!
It's at 3.45 so going to be nervous all day! Eek!

Hi Marsh08, annovulatory means that I don't ovulate, pcos is polycystic ovarian syndrome (which means an imbalance of hormones creating multiple small follicles on ovaries and a multitude of other symptoms!) and letrozole is a drug used to induce ovulation. I'm really hoping it's going to work!! Xxx

Ooh Blondy I wish you all the luck my fellow letrazole buddy! Im on 5mg too and was the last time but didnt realise it! Im hoping that the injections make the difference this time. Ive to go tomorrow for my first injection! Lets hope its good posts for us both tomorrow night!

Hey, I get a scan and bloods on Fri which is cd 9 effectively! Not sure if they give me more menopur if nothings happening. Will ask tomorrow.

Hi girls. Sorry I didn't get on yesterday. Bad news I'm afraid absolutely nothing has happened. No follicles above 10 and lining 3mm so about as thin as it gets. Going back tomorrow to double check, and spoke to my consultant last night and he wants me to go in on Monday to arrange the next step. I feel gutted to be honest, I know it's silly and obviously there are injections to try next, I think because I had some progress last time I just assumed it would work we're off to Marrakesh in 4 weeks so trying to focus on that, I just feel so hopeless, and hubby was pretty gutted too. My silly ovaries just won't work properly.
The actual scan was awful too as there was a sonographer being trained so I got a running commentary of "look at these classically polycystic ovaries, don't they look nice and textbook blah blah blah" Thanks alot!! She could tell I was upset though and apologised at the end.
So I'm pretty bummed really
