Had my anomoly scan today and all is looking good. No obvious problems with her, but they reckon she is gonna be a big one! Almost all the measurements were coming out nearly 2 weeks bigger than dates, which doesnt surprise me, I had the same thing with my last baby. Im not overly concerned about it, I think Im just destined to carry big babies! My first was 8lb 14.5oz, quite large for a first baby so dread to think what this one could be! Hoping it will be similar in weight, at least I know I can cope with that! The sonographer also gave me some advise regarding the birth...I mentioned that my last baby was almost 9lb and had to have quite a few stitches on my 2nd degree tear. I knew about massaging oil into the perineum to help it stretch, but she recommended I also rub almond oil into where I was stitched (inside & out) which should soften the scar tissue and greatly lessen the risk of tearing it again. Whats more, she said I shoud start it now, when I was thinking maybe 30 weeks would be early enough? Anyway, Im gonna give it a try, and hope for the best! Otherwise everything is looking good, now just gotta wait another 21 weeks for the lil lady to cook a bit longer

I didnt realise they could measure so far ahead so early  I was worried mine was going to be big but she was spot on at the 20 week scan, so fingers crossed she'll stay the same.
