Is it just me, or did scan photos last year cost around £2.00?

I got my letter through for my scan and it says photos available for £10.00 (Stratford Upon Avon)

Well you can't not have one, but I do think they're taking advantage of expectant parents.

mine was £4 for 4 pics but the scanner person said 'nah don't worry and gave me about 6!

Thats dreadful - I think there is note about cost of scan pictures in my book of patient notes for my hospital, from memory i think it said they were £3.00 for one or £5.00 for 2.

I'll check my book later and let you know........

oooh, i hope i get a scanner person like yours hypnorm

My hospital don't charge but there is a tin in reception if you would like to make a donation :D xx

I was shocked aswell as ours have gone from £3 last year to £5 each this year. I was so disappointed with my 20 weeks photos I didn't even bother to post them as they were just of Ella's skull! Everyone else seemed to get lovely profile pics and I got a pic of skeletor!!

My hospital doens't charge but i just put a donation into the donation box.

Mine were the same and we have to pay £1.50 per picture. Was pretty gutted. The 34 week ones he was too big to scan properly so we just got a hand and foot print scan, but his head on the 20week ones was just freaky and dissapointing. My 11 week scan wasnt clear enough to see him well, so overall they were all crap :(

It's £4 at my local hospital, but the hospital my sister was under only charged £2. She used to only pay 50p to park and I had to pay £2!

My sister in law is under a hospital who charge £50 if you want to know the sex of your baby!

I don't know how they justify it.

i am from warwick and our hospital have now put up there scan photos to £10, i think it is wrong to charge that much, especially for the parents i think it should be free to the parents and then any extra u want 4 relatives then u pay but not £10. i have a 36 week scan in 2 weeks and my mil wants a pic and she will pay £10 for it. My hospital is in 12 million debt and maybe shutting but dont takeit out on the patients.

Had to pay 2.50 for zacks, but didnt have to pay this time for the 12 weeks scan or the 20 ........

10.00 is a totaly rip off! ...your only paying for the papre and ink. Noway on earth should you be paying 10.00. But the thing is they know that people will pay it :(

never knew we had to pay at all. steph did you have yours at RCHT?

I think that is a real cheek asking for money for pics what the hell do we pay national insurance and taxes for

We were just asked if would we would kindly donate £1 per photo towards costs in our letter........but when I had the scan nothing was mentioned, I had to ask how to donate the money!
