Scan dates?

Hi all, just a quick question about scans. Are they generally the same everywhere in terms of when you get them? My sister got her 1st one at 9 weeks and I'm trying to work out when my first 1 might be as I can't wait lol xx

yep you get your first around 11/12 wks this give you your due date and checks for number of babies and downs syndrome, then second scan is at 20-22 weeks

if people have scans earlier or extra scans it is usually because they have expressed a concern to midwife such as bleeding or they have health issues requiring extra scans, otherwise its just those two at those two stages

Thanks, it might have been because my sister was quite young at the time. I'm so impatient lol can't wait for the time to come xx

the 1st and third trimesters drag the most because with the first your waiting for that very first scan and with the third your waiting to meet the baby, the 2nd trimester just flies by
