Hi Everyone,
Can anyone tell me if this is correct or not, or just my local NHS cutting costs....
I had a dating ultrasound at 7+1. Then my GP told me I would be hearing from the midwife at around 12-13wks.
On Saturday through the post I got my midwife appointment (17th Aug) and thought that it wasn't too long to wait.
On the same day I also got a letter from the hospital inviting me to my 20wk scan on 2nd October.
I thought I would have to have a scan at around 12 weeks?? Am i wrong?? It seems an awful long time to wait from 7wks to 20wks.
I am a 36 year old first time pregnancy, with a problematic health history as long as your arm. Is it possible that the midwife will have her first appointment with me and realise I do need closer monitoring than 20wks?
I am a little concerned and would be grateful for your input.
