Saw the consultant :(

Went for my appointment yesterday and to be honest it was awful She was a bit of a hard faced cow and just made me feel so bad. She didn't really say too much just that the plan was still the same. She tried to do a stretch and sweep but said my cervix is high and firm so she couldn't do it properly. She was really rough though and hurt me quite a bit which I don't remember my last one hurting at all. I have to go back next week at 2 days over and discuss induction plans after they try to sweep me again. Just quite upset that I haven't got anywhere with all the signs I was getting. Lost a huge amount of goo once I got home, some with blood in so think I've offically lost my plug now. Still bits coming away with it but not so much. Consultant said she could feel the opening to my cervix so that must mean it's open even if a tiny bit? She said it doesn't mean to say it won't start soon but by the way she was I don't seem very hopeful about it. I went in really positive and came out a blubbering wreck. I just don't feel positive at all for my natural birth this time and if cervix isn't favourable again next week I think I'm gonna opt for a c section. I can't go through what I went through last time and it feels like I'm heading in the same direction. Sorry for the moan girls, I'm not even over due yet but it's amazing how one appointment can make you feel so bad!

Aww hun don't lose hope yet cant you go from nothing at all to quite dialated pretty quick especially with second one? Keeping everything crossed for you that things start to happen soon and you dont have to go to that appointment 2 days over!!

Oh hun I'm sorry she was such a cow to you. That's unfair and she should really have SOME degree of sympathy and heart when dealing with heavily pregnant women

Don't lose faith, keep your chin up and I'm sure it'll happen soon! Look at Miss.Monroe, she's proof that things can happen suddenly (and Laura23yrs) both their births happened quickly!

I really hope you manage to forget that silly woman & the go is a good sign!! xx

Consultants can be very cold, don't let the appointment stop you feeling positive and hopeful, there's still plenty of time for LO to get a wriggle on It's important to prepare for other circumstances though, but that's done now, so I hope you can relax and just take every day one bit at a time, don't focus on a negative, just stay open and try and spoil yourself while you can Very best wishes
