saving cards?

dont know if they r called saving cards but i am looking for a shop that will let me get a card and put money on each week so i can save for a pram etc because they are very dear to buy, is anyone else planning on doing this?

I just bought a wee piggy bank today It's in the shape of an owl and its very cute I'm just going to put some money away in that every week so I can get the pram I want. This pregnancy was unexpected for OH and I, and we both still live with our parents, so by the time we get our flat I doubt i'll have any money left for the pram I want lol So i think a savings card or a piggy bank is a great idea x

i know if i got a piggy bank it would be smashed after a week lol i cannot save at all i might just look for 2nd hand pram they aint in them for long xx

Isn't there any local baby shops that u can put items away and pay as much as u like off a week/month etc then collect the items wen ur ready? There's quite a few shops like that round near me,everything from prams and cots,bikes and even clothes and school uniforms in some,comes in v handy wen u see something u want but can't afford straight away and don't want to risk it not been in stock next time xx

You could just transfer a certain amount in to a savings account and save it that way? That way you would earn a little bit of interest yourself rather than letting the company you buy the savings card from take the interest. x

Oooh a savings account is a good idea, then you could just set up a Direct Debit, so the money would be gone before you knew it was there Then you won't be tempted to spend it x
