Ladies whats the best way to cook whole pieces of salmon i fancy it for tea tonight but ive no idea on the best way to cook it have you got any tips please?! :)

my mum puts it in a bowl with a bit of water and steams it in the microwave as u dont lose any of the goodness in it or u can use a steamer!!!

I do mine in a little butter in a pan then add some creme fraiche (or fresh cream will do) and fresh lemon juice to make a zingy sauce just before serving. Just watch you don't burn the fish in the pan either by cooking it on too high a heat or from letting the pan go dry.. Make sure you turn the fish carefully and it shouldn't break.

You can also grill it, wrap it in foil with some fresh herbs and a knob of butter and lemon juice squezed over it and cook in the oven.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks ladies your making my mouth water already

I cheat and cook my whole dinner in one!

Put a little olive oil (or spray light if you're on SW!) in a baking dish and cut up loads of veggies, courgettes, red onions, carrots, mushrooms whatever you want. You don't have to boil any of them, just chuck them in with fresh ginger, basil and corriander. Lay you slamon on top and drizzle with lemon juice. Add a can of chopped tomatoes and then some mozzerella on top. Cover with foil, 35 mins in the oven.
Takes 5 mins to prepare, one dish, less mess, gorgeous!
(runs off to get salmon out the freezer!)

id cook it in some foil with a bit of oil and lemon :)

Personally I don't like Salmon but my DS and OH love it. I cook it for them by putting in foil with a knob of butter and some herbs then wrap it up and cook it in the oven. They love it I have no idea if it's nice or not.

I grill it and have it with cous cous and roasted peppers etc

place them on a sheet of foil. season with salt and pepper and spinach and wrap them up with the foil and cook in an oven for 20 minutes or so.
