Saline nasal spray

Is it normal for the baby to cough and splutter when you give the spray?

I've just had a fright when I squirted some up her nose and she kinda choked on it!

id imagine so, the nose and mouth are connected and if she wasnt expecting it she could get a shock and choke on it or it would make her cough, it wont hurt her tho hun, try it on yourself and you'll understand lol

Yeah, you'd cough and sputter if someone squirted it up your nose too
Think as long as its only a little then it's fine as it just a shock to hit the back of the throat, Grace knows what it is now and closes her mouth as she hadn't twigged it comes from going up her nose yet

Yeah its normal enough its salty water basically so wouldn't taste too nice either but defo no harm

Yeah I've just used it on my lo. I used it yesterday aswell and it really helped. Don't worry about it although I did panic yesterday lol xx

Incidentally they taste like shite lol
