I have been eating this alot lately just seen on another site that it is bad? Is it sorry if i seem a bit dumb just unsure? HELP lol xxxx :oooo:

I think it's on the don't eat list, so I've been reluctently staying away from it, but I'm sure some people carry on eating it without any problems.

i must be honest, this is one of my pregnancy cravings and i have been eating it... not tons and tons but i have often slipped a slice in a sarnie along with some ham now and again... i think where its not cooked meat that its best advoided but i just had such a bad craving for it that i couldnt resist :/

Well Yeah I have looked it up and defo on the banned list, I must have eaten at least 300/400g's worth in several packs I ate in the weeks I was eating it....

I have told my OH he is on his own eating it now lol he was like OOOOk, think he is secretly happy he loves the stuff more than my cravings have been getting me.

I am just going to stick the good foods now :) hopefully I haven't done any damage :) My scan was clear they did a detailed head to toe one and looked at his heart for about half an hour too x

Oh I didnt know you werent alowed salami... why? Its a cooked meat isnt it?? well the stuff we buy is?? ive gone off a little anyway cos I cant stand the garlic smell.

I didn't know you couldn't have salami, I love it, my kids eat loads of it!, but I haven't had any this pregnancy as is so high fat, and I have enougth of that going on right now!

Sure it will be fine hun , now we all know!

Deli meats are more likely to carry the Listeria bacteria which is why they tend to show up on the banned-food lists. They do say though if you must have your deli meats (or hot dogs, etc), just be sure that you heat it up to steaming first to kill any potential bacteria :)

I just looked it up and the stuff I buy is fine, its turkish salami which is actually cooked whereas the stuff you get it uk is either smoked or dryed therefore uncooked. Theres quite a few reasons why you shouldnt eat it actually. Quite interesting xx
