Seren fell out of bed again :( I put her right by the edge where her crib is so she could play with her toys before sleeping (how I usually do it) so she couldn't fall out the site and she rolled over to the other side and fell out. Luckily our bed is low and she landed on the rug but obviously this can't keep happening. OH is saying its time for cot, but I don't want her in there yet. I have seen the bed rails, where do you get them from and how big are they? Just wondering if they would be large enough to cover the side though if she is rolling so much I might have to just face up top the fact she will have to go into her own room :(

hmm, so if she is rolling they aren't going to do too much. I think what I'll do is put her in her cot to start with then when she wakes she can come into bed. That way she is not in the bed unsupervised and we can still co-sleep.

Yeah i think all the rails are made more for older children that have just moved in their own bed.

Poor seren glad she landed on the rug :) These things happen though

It must be hard looking at the idea of youre baby going into her own room....Im not looking forward to that part either but im sure it will be very exciting aswell though! :D

good luck

I know zack is much bigger than seren, but I put cushions on the floor next to the bed, so if he does fall off he doesnt hurt himself. With a bedgard he would just find some way of rolling around it and onto the floor lol ....silly moo he is

I have one of these:

I have the cot next to the bed so there isn't really a gap anyway, then I have the guard just in case cos I was worried he'd fall down the gap.

It's great, and can extend to about the length of the travel cot.

I have Damiens cot pulled right up against my side of the bed too with a pillow in the gap if he is with me.

I've gpt the one side covered so to speak, her crib is there and then when I'm in bed I sleep on the other side. Its just for when she is sleepy but not asleep, the crib is really to small as she wants to play (then fall asleep) so I have been lying her in bed but she can roll and shuffle now. I was just wondering whether there was something to cover the bed but think she'll have to start in her cot so she can fall asleep.

i used to have one side of Diors cot off and pulled right up to my bed and we were both on the same level :) it was nice i liked sleeping watching her done it till she was 6months but Harley has been in his own room for about 2months now and we all get much better sleep. but im moving next week so might sneek him in to our rooom again, but its for me not him lol he prefers his own rom

The cot won't fit into our room :( I'd love to have done that. I just like co-sleeping and wanted Seren to decide when to go into her own room as I'm like you, love watching her sleep and love her snuggling into me when she is half awake. Saying that she woke me up this morning by hitting my face and twisting my boob

HAHAH DIOR USED TO WAKE ME UP PUTTING HER FINGER RIGHT UP MY NOSE :x SHE HAS GOT SHARP NAILS TOO.

Seren likes noses but so far I have been lucky. Its just the booby twisting I hate, but I did get her back as she did it the other day and got a faceful of milk :rotfl:

:rotfl: THAT IS SO FUNNY, WHEN I WAS TRYING TO GET hARLEY TO TKE THE BREAST MY BOOBS STARTED TO GET REAL FULL KRIS LEANED ON MY BOOB AND IT SQUIRTED HEHEHE HE WAS LESS THEN IMPRESSED.

grrrrr sorry bout caps lock i keep forgeting

my little sister used to roll off the bed all the time!!! me and my mum would be talking and it would be "Bang" and she was on the floor again!!! haha

She is 7 now and very clever so it never hurt her!!! haha :rotfl: xxxx
