Ruby has taken to sleeping on her tummy the last few nights and I am really worried. As she is rolling everywhere at the mo, its so hard to get her to stay on her back, I am constantly checking her sleeping, putting her back and she rolls straight back on to her tum again  Her head is always turned to the side but I am worried she will suffocate :( I tuck her in at night before we go to bed with a light sheet, but morning she has wriggled out of the sheet, and has worked her way to top of cot where she is happily sleeping on her tum!!!

She is 21 weeks tomorrow. Should I be so worried???

Keeley sleeps on her belly now... i wouldn't worry about it as long as she can roll she wil be able to roll herself back :D

If she can roll then she can hold her head up and she'll be fine. Both Molly and Aimee were exactly the same, they would only go to sleep on their tummies (still do!)
If that's how she feels most comfy then don't worry about it. I know the advise says always put them on their backs, but not all babies will let you!

My mum tells me that from being six weeks old I would only sleep on my tum!

I put Jake to sleep on his tummy now as if I put him on his back he rolls over anyway. If Ruby can roll then I wouldn't worry too much as she will sleep how she wants to anyway. Have you thought about buying a grobag so that you don't have to worry about her kicking the covers off or going underneath them.

Erin always slept on her tummy, too. I was concerned at first, but she was a strong baby and could hold her head up from an early age, as well as pick her head up if on her tummy, briefly, so after a while, I just put her on her tummy to sleep as if I placed her on her back, she would simply roll over anyway.

It worried me and I checked on her constantly, but she was a tummy sleeper from just a few weeks old.

Annabelle is another who likes to sleep on her side or her tummy so i just let her :)

Dan does exactly the same thing. I am forever going in and turning him back over, much to the annoyance of my OH!!

If they have enough neck control to lift their head and turn it then don't worry.

Let him sleep hun - he will move his head it he can't breathe properly

If she can roll she'll be fine. Arianna sleeps in all different positions!! her fav at the moment seems to be on her side with her feet up on the cot bars!!
