I hadf completely forgot about getting some of these, wasn't until my mate asked me if i've not got them yet.

Question i have is, are the really neccesary? I mean Soph's not left alone, if i'm in kitchen cooking she's with me in her high chair looking out into garden, if i go to loo i stick her in her walker, so do i really need some?

you really need them in between kitchen and any living room and on any stairs , i had hannah in the walker turned my back for a minute and she had stuck her hand to the cooker , not a pretty sight, they r fairly cheap and really not worth taking the risk

Thanks Mary, it's not the cost or anything, just thoguht because i had managed so far, but i suppose as she gets older she'll not be so easy to keep back from things!

My hubby went to a customer's house the other day and when she opened the door she was in floods of tears because her baby had crawled underneath the stair gate and fallen down the stairs - it was one of those material ones that pulls across like a blind! (She'd also had 15 miscarriages so was very upset, needless to say, that her baby had managed to do this!!! )

in asda they had really good ones which were on offer think they were 17 pounds each or 2 for 30 pound im going to get them so i can put 1 at bottom of the stairs and 1 on his bedroom door better to be safe than sorry hun xxxxxxx

You might want to get them when Sophie is a bit older when she can't go in her walker anymore. We have got one for our front room and we are going to get one for the top of the stairs soon. The front room one is good if I need to quickly nip upstairs or else Jake is straight out in to the kitchen or climbing the stairs. We are going to get one for the top of the stairs soon because when he starts walking I will feel safer knowing that he can't make a run for it and fall down the stairs whilst i'm running his bath or something.
