i read it in one day this week and it reduced me to sobbing :( . It is VERY sad.
My friend gave it to me to read and i read the back and thought NO i can't read that . But i did in the end. curiosity got the better of me and i read it. I couldn't sleep for two nights because the words in that book were in my head.

Has anyone else read it and what did you think to it? :)

I haven't read it. Having read the link it is one I might have bought after reading the back, but I don't fancy the sleepless nights after it.

I was half expecting you to have written 'My Sisters Keeper' - that is the saddest book I have ever read - I was crying through the end and after  but it was a beautiful book too & I loved it for how much it moved me

I haven't - and I won't now as I am totally soft. I have been known to cry at the news. I read an article in a magazine the other day about a little boy with cancer who loved Peter Pan. When he was dying he asked his mum if he was off to never never land. It makes me well up just thinking about it!

I posted about this book once before, yeah I have read it.

It is the saddest most moving book I have ever read. I cried all the way through, but in a way it also filled me with joy, as it made my faith, even stronger.

I truly believe that there is more for us all than just the life we are living now, and this book really seconds that, dont want to say anymore, because I dont want to spoil it for anyone going to read it.

I will never lend this book out as I am afraid I will not get it back, and its a book I will read again and again. Its truly a beautiful book.

Glad you enjoyed it

Just wanted to add, Emmylou......I have read my sisters keeper too, and Hannahs Gift is far far better, its actually a true story

ive never heard of ''my sisters keeper' but ill lokk into finiding it at the library. :)

My Sisters Keeper is by Jodi Picoult, after reading that book I went on to read all her others, and now wait for her new releases.

aaww, that sounds well sad :( Ive ordered it so i'll probably spend the whole time reading it in tears

I think I'll give that a miss until the pregnancy hormones are well gone!
It does sound really sad, 3 is no age to get ill and die

ETA: My favourite Jodi Picoult book of the one's I've read, was Salem Falls where the teacher gets accused of rape. My sisters keeper was a fantastic book too

I wept just reading the link!

When I read My Sisters Keeper, I couldn't sleep that night. The next day when I was driving the kids to school I was sobbing in the car. It broke my heart

Ditto!! I love her books. I can't read one after the other though as I am constantly 'looking' for the ending iykwim. I just find I;m trying to work it out all the time  :)

I've got tenth circle to read next, can't wait, one chapter of Russell Brands Booky wook left then I'll be on it.

Think I'll get Hannah's Gift to read too after that :D

oh gosh, i cant even read 'Take a break' magazine without crying every week.

I just finished readin this last night (read the whole book in one go, couldnt put it down) and blimey, you were right about it being sad!! I xcried through most of it ...like actual proper sobbing at one point!  Never done that while reading a boook before.

I would highly reccomend it, but i would't read it on the train or anything.....you'll be sitting there crying, people might think youre a bit weird, lol :)

Just reading the link bought tears to my eyes. I'm sooo emotional LOL. I think I might have to read it though even if I will be crying the whole way through it.

I've just seen this post and my curiousity gets the better of me, so I clicked the link. Reading the site, I started weeping. I'm doubting whether I should get this book. A big part of me wants to. I'll think about it.

By the way, Nicholas Sparks' novels make me weep, especially A Walk To Remember, True Believer and At First Sight.
