Well Oscar was exclusively breastfed til 6 months. The lazy blighter didn't want to eat anything but boob.... til tonight. I sat him with the other kids and he had his first proper food...broccoli!! And he loved it!! He sucked all the water out of the tops and chewed them all up....

Paige will eat anything she can get her hands on. I havent done blw but did tlw at around 4 months but Im pretty sure she would have eaten solids before 5 months even with blw! I love watching babies eat

How did you think he was ready, Toby is interested in when we are eating, but is easily distracted so I sort of figure that if he was ready he would be a bit more determined...

well i did try tiny bits of baby stuff on a spoon before but he really didn't want it, which was fine, but now he's 6m i was thinking "come on child....eat" lol so every night i sat him at the table at tea time and he has started to do chewing faces so today i just did him some really soft broccoli and he joined in . im sure he'd be happy for a good few more months just on boob but i just want him to have the option to try things x

Ahh he looks like he really loved it! He looks older than his age , all that lovely hair perhaps!

Can't wait to try BLW for the first time with Devon, should hopefully be better than all the refusal issues with puree and baby rice ! When my kids were small it was 4 months for food, so bit different to wait till 6 months now, so will see how I go

well I thought it would be but i find puree and baby rice gets everywhere and all over me too. so far it hasn't been too bad.......
