Back in the summer a Maths teacher ran away with his student. It was all over the papers and on every news channel. Their names were widely publicised as everyone searched for them. They were eventually found and brought home. I am sure you've all guessed what I am talking about.

But now, the student is not allowed to be named. Even though we all know who it is? Why? I don't really understand.

This story made me wonder:

She was named then as a matter of finding her and now because she's involved in a legal case, because she's under 16 (I think) she can't legally be named. It makes no common sense but if the courts allowed her to be named then it could end up where minors are named all the time as there would be a precedent set.

I understand the legal case bit, but as we all know the name it doesn't make sense lol.
