I received a letter on friday from a hospital saying that an appointment has been made for Calum to have 4 doses (given as monthly injection) for the above. Has anyone else had or going to have this done?

I hadn't known anything about this until i got this letter and looking over it today the appointment is for Monday! so really doesnt give me alot of time to look into this as i'm really not sure about it. Calums already up to date with the normal injections.

What do you ladies think?

Definately go for it. You are very lucky to get it!

In most health authorities premature babies have to be on oxygen to get it as it is very expensive.

RSV is a cold virus which can make some vulnerable babies very poorly, it is obviously more of a risk to very small babies who are on oxygen.

We are not entitled to it as even though my baby was very premature he is over 1o months now and not on oxygen.

Good luck with the jabs

Calums not on oxygen either :?
Was only on CPAP for a sort while in hospital.

i would seriously consider it having spent the week on the infections ward with loads of babies with it, the epidemic of bronchilitus is bad this year, Isla had to be in for a few nights.
