Room for a newbie?

Hi and welcome to PF. Good luck with your TTC journey xxx

Hey potatohead. Talk away.. we like to read! Have you thrown the contraception away get? The two week wait does drag as does waiting for ov and waiting for AF to go and ultimately waiting for our BFPs but this forum is brilliant company.

Came off the pill a couple of months ago, last month was our 1st TTC but didn't actually try very hard. So now I'm calling this our 1st month.... AF only started yesterday, I'm going to chart temps - but try to stay fairly relaxed to begin with (ahem :fib:).

Thanks for the reply:)

I started ttc last month aswell. I am definately taking the relaxed approach all I am doing is ... temps, OPKs, checking cervical mucus, coming on here everyday and thinking about nothing other than ttc so I think i'm still pretty sane really

Yep you sound sane.
Do you mind me asking how old you are? I'm 30 and can't help worrying my age will be against me. OH tells me not to worry..... but he's so laid back he's almost horizontal. Of course this is perfect position for :bd: but doesn't help me worrying!

Hey, who you calling crazy! lol
No I really do feel quite normal on here- it's great.

I haven't really let OH in on the full crazyness yet - he knows I get a bit obsessed by things but I'm trying to appear fairly relaxed at the moment. I do have moments of 'oh my god, what if we can't have children, what if I'm too old, too fat, what if I have rubbish eggies, what if your :sperm: swim the wrong way' etc etc.

But he just says it will be fine - I think he really believes we're just a normal couple and it will just happen for us like it happens for tons of other couples (most of which seem to be friends and family at the moment grr). I wish I could think like that!

Hi welcome,

Good luck with TTC, I've just joined today xx

I'm just about to turn 28. Don't worry I think time is still comfortably on our side. My hubby has low sperm count so we were advised by docs not to leave it too long to try but they said start trying by 30 because then you can try for 2-3 years and still have time to look into fertility treatments if needed. The doc said in most women fertility doesn't start to decline significantly until 35.
My hubby always tells me not to worry about stuff too he thinks everything will be fine and he is probably right.
