Is anyone else suffering from rhinitis? I'm really struggling with a horrible taste in my mouth, alot of catarrh stuck at the back of my throat (sorry tmi) dr has prescribed a beckamethasine nasal spray that I've not used yet (got it 6 weeks ago) but the pharmacist can't really tell me if it's safe to use. Has anyone got any suggestions as it's making me feel pretty sick :(

did the doctor know that you were pregnant when he prescribed the nasal spray?? xx

errr with things like that i try a hot bath (not to hot) the steam helps to loosen it all n get rid x x well i dont no but id give it a try x

Hi Claire yes the dr did no it was the same appt that i asked to b referred to the midwives, wld love to take a warm bath but jist feel too ill at the mo :(

if he knw that you were pregnant then i think that it is safe to take it no probs, i had a nasal spray prescribed for hay fever and took it most the summer.

Im sure that it would be fine to take or he wouldnt have given you it xx

Yup got exactly the same, though didn't realise it had a name! I've been putting up with it for 6 weeks now. It's the bad taste which is most annoying as it makes my sickness worse.

So, what I've been doing is, drinking loads and almost non stop eating.....but things with strong flavours like pineapple and grapes and sometimes really sour sweets. I've found that feeling full most of the time calms the sickness down. Course I've learnt the hard way that you can't constantly eat without putting on too many pounds, hence switching to tasty fruit!

yep ive had it too but also didnt realise it had a name, horrible isnt it? :-( x

Thanks guys - pleased that I'm not the only one!! Yes its horrible and its difficult to describe to someone else cause they think that ur being a bit dramatic!!!

Only working 4 days this week, so planning a nice quiet 4 day weekend - hoping to catch up on some sleep and work out what to do about this rhinitis!!!

LOL
