Had a smear test abt 3weeks ago..got the results this morning n it says theres minor changes n need to go bk in 6 months for another test. Just wondering if anyone else has had this n what does minor changes mean?x

Hmmmm now sure but didnt want to read and run....could you make a gps appointment a d see x

I have this a lot. I've just went back to seeing ten every year when I fell pregnant and have just reminded me I need to go. I get mild changes called mild discaryiosis (won't be spelt right) but it doesn't mean cancer. They just keep an eye out and do another smear test, if they come back the same they gave me a biopsy which they cut a bit of my cervix and sent it away for testing. Xxx

I had the same but straight after the first abnormal result I was sent to hospital for a colposcopy and biopsy so they could see what kind of change it was.
I had to go for colposcopys every 6 months for 3 years to monitor the changes as the cells weren't getting better or worse. In the end they gave me cold coagulation which basically freezes the cells off. Now I go for yearly check ups.
Also contact your gp, I was given some leaflets from mine which were really good at explaining all the possible outcomes.

I found the NHS were really good for monitoring this and keeping me informed.

Thanks for ur replys. Think il go n see my gp to get some more info on it xx

I had this with my first smear, was told it is quite common after child birth. I used to get 6 monthly check ups but now yearly. I know its easier said than done but try not to worry. Its good that they keep an eye on it. Hope you are ok x
