Has anyone had a wedding at a registry office? How much did it cost (the wedding itself, not including stuff like the dress, suit, etc)

Were looking into getting married at a registry office but dont know where to start or how much it might cost.

We got married in a Town Hall and we both had to pay £30 each for the notice of marriage then £43.50 on the day

we only had to pay £36 but that was nearly 8 yrs ago :?

edit*****just checked ours is now £43 odd
REGISTER OFFICE Registrar's attendance at ceremony + one marriage certificate
£43.50 payable to the Registrar on the day
You may pay by:
CASH
CHEQUE drawn on a UK bank with a cheque guarantee card

Hi there me and my partner are looking at getting married in a registry office and its going to cost us 75 pound.

Think ours cost about £60 for both the notice of marriage and on the day!
i've forgotten!!!

just booked mine, 30 pounds each for the civial notice then 43.50 on the day, just phone your registary office up and say your looking into it and they should tell you, but you can book only 12 months you want to do it, and you need to book your civial notice, and take a passport in and your driving licence or birth certificate.

i can't remember how much it cost sorry.

I got married in a registry office in Gibraltar and it cost us about £130 with all fees etc.

Mine was an out of area civil wedding (blackpool pleasure beach to be precise!) and had to pay the £30 each to local registrars at warrington then an additional fee (70 quid i fink) to the blackpool registrars to come out to the venue.

hey karpy, the registrar is coming to the place were getting married, it cost us £60 to book her, and its gonna cost £250 on the day too, but thats for her to come to the location we want. :) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Does your office have a website hun??

I was due to get married last year. When we were looking for prices etc we had a look on the reg office website. We had to pay 30 each for the notice and the 40 pound for the wedding at the office. It costs more ina church. But if you look for your reg opffice website it will have it all listed.

Will have a look for you. :D

Dont know if this website will help you

I am getting married on thurday in Ringwood reg office and it cost us £30 each for the notice to marry plus £43.50 on the day to include the £3.50 for the certificate.

I'm crapping it........

We have done the whole wedding for under £3000 and we have all the trimmings just proves you can do it on the cheap if you try!

If anyones looking for a wedding cake maker with a bit of a difference I can highly recommend Heather Higgins at www.sweetart.co.uk

She can do anything you want and prices were very very good.

This is actually my wedding cake on her site lol

Came to about 300 in total for both (I'd been quoted more than that for plain white ones with a few piped roses on!)
