Has anyones baby got this? My HV said she thinks shannon has and is coming back in a couple of weeks to see if shannon has improved if she hasn't baby will have to have meds.

Yeah Charleys got it! I give him infant gaviscon and it's improved loads

Why a couple of weeks? Little long if she doesn't know what the signs are now and she does have it.

My youngest had it. Didn't take milk well and always spat up sometimes quite badly x

WSS! Toby has it, I didn't think it was bad or reflux until we started to treat it, but was mortified he had suffered for as long as he did. i'ld be tempted to head to the GP. We got infant gaviscon as a see if it helped at first and it did so it continued... :flower:

I'm not to sure, i think i will take her back the docs before she comes back. Shannon takes her milk most of the time, she is sick all the time. Sick before a feed during a feed after a feed and so on:-( she go's rigid and her arms go at the side of head and fist's turned inwards the pic of her doing it is on my av, its like she's fighting against maybe wind, I'm just confused at the mo, I've told doc about it when Shannon had her check up but he said it might be colic? told me to go back if it carries on. I feel bad, she is my 4th i should know:wall2:my others were sick alot but shannon is diffrent sorry to go on.x:roll:

My LO had this and the doctor initially tried to fob me off and tell me it was colic .. yet the symptoms of Reflux are somewhat different.

I was prescribed Infant Gaviscon and it was like some kind of magic in a sachet, it helped sooooo much.

I would go back if i were you, you obviously arent 100% with the explanation that theyve given you :)

Thanks all, i better get the doc's! Sound's like the gaviscon works well, GOD BLOODY DOCTORS THEY SHOULD KNOW BETTER! I knew i wasn't just worrying, they make you feel like a mad over exaggerating mother! Us mums know best, i feel such a fool now, thanks for your posts guys x

I think a part of it is them not wanting to give presciption meds to babies so young if they can avoid it, well, thats seems to be the only logical reasoning for it
