Reflexology - Success Stories

Hey ladies,
My SIL swore that reflexology was the reason she conceived! (She is due in the next couple of weeks) She was trying for quite a while, i think around a year and after 1 session of reflexology she found out she was pregnant. Whether it was pure luck or not she swears it was all down to this.
I have also been reading some success stories on other forums so i decided to bite the bullet and book in a session with the same lady she went to.
My 1st session is on the 21st January and i am very much looking forward to it.
Would be great to hear some success stories from any ladies on here? xx

Oh wow this is interesting. How many sessions did you have Akua if you don't mind me asking and how long was you trying previous to starting reflexology? x

I tried reflexology. Can't remember how long we'd been trying but it was a while. From a fertility point of view it was useless. I had sessions over several cycles so I gave it a proper chance. The treatment itself was nice enough but it definitely didn't get me pregnant. Lots of people swear by it though so I hope it works for you. Good that you're going to someone recommended too. I just had to ask Google!!

I think it's like anything - no harm trying but keep an open mind. I try not to think about how much I spent on various things. Especially as we finally caught once I stopped all those things.

Even if it does just relax you or makes you feel good it’s got to be worth giving it a go. It’s something I’ve really wanted to try but I wasn’t brave enough to google and no one I knew has had it done!

What area are you in? I know they have a website for registered reflexologists in all areas so maybe you could look into that if you was interested in having it done. Xx

I had two miscarriages before this, so getting pregnant isn’t exactly my issue but staying pregnant is. (Had one misc at 10 weeks, one at 12).

After my last miscarriage I went for an appointment as had been ages after the miscarriage but was still testing positive. The morning after I finally had a negative pregnancy test.

Had two further sessions, but quite close together. My cycles had previously been 40 days long. Reflexology is the only thing I changed. Had a period a few days after the negative test, then ovulated on what would have been about CD 15/16 I think (can’t rememember now but normal for me was to ov on cd25) and then had a positive pregnancy test on cd26 I think. All working out well so far

I have had 2 very long cycles the last one being 39 days so I will be happy if it just gives me a shorter cycle if nothing else. I really am intrigued for my 1st visit, I will be visiting her around my normal ov time I think xx

I had a free session at work a few years back, for relaxation.the session was nice but I'm not sure I believed the stuff the women was saying tbh, she was a bit 'out there' for my liking. Then she poked my foot in one place and it really hurt, she said that was my ovaries so I suggested perhaps she didn't poke it any further!
I'd say give it a go, if nothing else, it is quite relaxing as long as your feet arent too tickelish!

I am not sure i would be convinced if i had a free session either tbh @Radleycat. I like to research before i go ahead with things and did just that with the lady my SIL recommended and she has some brilliant reviews so thought i would give her a go. If nothing comes of it atleast i will be relaxed when ovulation is going to happen x

@Mandy123 this is so interesting! Everyone i speak to outside of this forum that has had reflexology has said how well they slept the night they had it.
Wow surely that must be linked Mandy, it would seem strange that it has appeared after a session.
I really hope this helps you in your journey an would intrigued to know more info from you if you go back for another session xx

It is interesting isn’t it! I don’t know many people who have had it but that’s good to know that sleeping well is a common side affect! I am seeing the lady again tonight actually, il see what she thinks to my reactions! I thought I’d book a few sessions before we start IVF. Obviously I still live in hope that it could still happen naturally. But yes very weird about the CM isn’t it! X

Ok I have to say something cause a girl mentioned that she was touched on her foot and it was for her ovaries. I straight away remembered what happened couple of days ago.. I was lying on the couch and all of a sudden felt 5 really strong pinched in my left ovary (like pulsing) and the funny part is that at exact same moments of the pinching I felt same pinching in my left heel, as if connected!!! I just checked on internet out of curiosity for reflexology points and look at that!!! How strange
