Hi

I had an emergency c section after a long horrible labour when baby was back to back and the recovery was as expected with a section.

I am now 37 weeks and am considering going for an elective section (even though been thinking of v-back until recently) as don't think I could face the trauma of labour again.

I was just wondering if anyone who had had 2nd c section found the recovery a lot easier and quicker??

I have a few friends who said they found that to be the case..

Also did you manage to breast feed after elective section??

Many thanks for any advice xxx

Sorry iv only had one c section on 19th so not sure about recovery on 2nd section but I did bf straight after c section while in recovery room.

I have had two sections (both emergency) I was booked in for an elective for my last but had eclampsia so delivered at 35 weeks. I have to say this time has been harder than my first, baby is 3 weeks old now and I'm just starting to get back to normal... I think with an elective it may be different, I suffered a huge blood loss and had to have a transfusion. I don't think you can predict an awful lot with either a natural birth or section to be honest... I've had three very different births with my children and don't think any of them were how if imagined lol... Whatever you decide good luck and enjoy it all xx
