Just need a few ideas that were hits for your babies :)

My little man is 6 months in 2 days :faint: so really want to broaden his food choices :)

Any ideas really, sweet or savoury x

Corn beef hash, sausage and mash, chicken and veg, tuna and sweet potato, apple and pears.
I purée anything I can get my hands on although charley's moving more onto proper food now he still loves his puree's.
How is the little fella hun? We need an up to date pic!! x x

In the freezer we currently have:

Sweet potato
Parsnip (Ollie's favourite)
Courgette
Mashed potato
Pear
Apple
Peach
Green Bean
Huge batch of leftover Sunday lunch - Chicken, potato, Brocolli & carrot
Carrot
Did have Cauliflour cheese with red pepper but need to make some more as Ollie loved it!!

All above are more of a coarse puree/mash now and we mix and match them - I usually pop 3 or 4 cubes in a bowl and defrost the night before for lunch or tea although doing more BLW for lunch and hot mashed/puree food for tea just to try different things really

Zac used to love this one, it's one of anabel karmels:- cooked chicken, cucumber, tomato, avocado and natural yoghurt. He also loved mixed peppers and courgette (goes quite watery like soup) xxx

Great ideas guys :yay:

He's loving sweet potatoes, carrot and courgette with some cheese now :)

I need some more ice cube trays so I can mix and match :)

What do you do with the avocado hun? I'm so unfamiliar with it

I just cut it in half, take the skin off and the stone out, cut it up and put it in a dish with all the other ingredients and blend. if the avocado is really ripe you can just spoon it out and feed it to them as they get really soft xxx

This is what I was just coming in here to do! I have pureed chicken but have no idea what to do it with! Always seems so dry xx

I would definately reccommend anabel karmels book, there are loads of yummy recipes in it, I would have been lost without it. X

Agreed anabel karmel is good, I also found a book in wilkinsons call baby and toddler meals. That's pretty good but a bit 90's judging by the photos!

I made Isla pork, potato, runner bean and carrot the other day, first day she didn't like it but ate it yesterday. I also made a vegetable meal of mushrooms, red pepper, courgette, and tomato and she enjoyed that, I added some red lentils to it, something I've never had myself!

I can scan some recipes and email them over if you like?

Emma x

Yes one of the lovely girls on here sent me the baby and toddler meal planner book so going to re-read :)

Cauliflower cheese was a huge hit :yay:

In fact he loves cheese full stop :)

madison loved cheese too!! still does only she eats blocks of it now haha!!!

chicken rice and peaches was a hit here!!
mince, bbq sauce/brown sauce and mash

madison always loved her smoothies, instead of putting ice in i usually bung in frozen fruit to cool it down, i put anythin in but mine r quite bitter so prob more yoghurt for u!! the fruit i vary is mango, passion fruit, dragonfruit, pineapple, orange apple banana strawberries blueberries raspberries blackberries etc etc and she looooves them all :) i bung seeds and all in! :D xxx

Don't forget they can have fish and gluten from 6 months , that should be good for the variety too? maybee add fresh parsley sauce? or even cheese sauce.

What about a version of baby chinease or curry, without the saltyness? eg sweet and sour chicken, and tiny noodles and mild curry with rice?

any help

Yeah alanna had a white fish pie last night, jus potatos, peas, onion, fish and a tiny bit of cheese, loved it.
also make apple and banana porridge for her

Spinich and carrot went down well today, and mango mixed with chicken casserole worked too yesterday

:yay: loads of great ideas guys x

Today we tried sweet potato, potato, apple and cheese :) He devoured it :yay:

Tomorrow I'm trying an Anabel Karmel one of salmon, peas and potatoes, might do a a fresh parsley sauce with it :)

Any ideas, keep them coming x
