Really Sore Tongue!?! Anyone Else? Tiny Red Bumps?!?

Hi Girls,

I don't feel as if I am going to have much response to this post BUT I have a very sore tongue! It has patches of red with tiny bumps all over it and stings like mad when I eat something (especially fruit)...

Do you think it could be a vitamin deficiency or anaemia? Don't know what to do about it... anyone else?

Or does anyone have advice??

bit of a long shot but have you been eating a lot of ice/ice lollies?

I was having loads and this happened to me it felt like it was burning im not sure what else it could be too be honest im not to clued up with the vitamin facts. Hopefully will pass soon though

Really really strange but all day I have had a sore tongue and roof of my mouth!!??? I dont notice any bumps on them but they are soooo sore mainly my tongue!?
I was thinking of posting the same question!?
Ive not had lots of lollies etc as Keelie has said but I have done that in the past lol! Its kinda that feeling really? I wonder what it is?

That's strange! The sore tongue brigade!!

I looked on the internet and it does come under anaemia...don't know why.

Also, if you have ever seen "you are what you eat" on television the presenter always says that the tongue always tells you if your body is lacking in something.

I started taking pregnacare again today to try and up my iron and vitamin intake. I have also been eating load of fruit - perhaps I have vitamin overdose??

May even pop to docs because it is so sore. Feels like tiny little ulcers and looks really red. Can hardly eat with it!!!

Oh gosh I hope Im not anaemic! I hate iron tablets they make me ill!
Mines not so bad today though so touch wood!

Go see a pharmacist - that will save waiting for a doctor's appointment.

I'm on iron tablets for anemia and I don't have a sore tongue....but then again I don't really think I have any of the other symptoms either.

I can remember when I was a teenager I had an episode when my whole mouth was totally covered in uncers...it was really . I went to the docs and he basically said that I been sucking too many cola cubes!!

Good news is that it cleared up in about a week, but for that week I was in agony, With you being PG I defo get in to see the doc.....don't take any risks
