Hi all,

I have been speaking to many of my friends who have already had a baby and most of them said that their babies slept the night through after a few days of being home as they followed a routine everyday whilst pregnant.

One friend read the same story at the same time each night taking it in turns with her partner, (as obviously reading the same thing for 6 months might get a bit boring). This was done at 7:30pm everynight and she put him down at that time from birth read the same story. After 3 days it worked, he is now 2 and goes to bed at 7:30 with a story and she has never had any problems. 2 other friends done the same thing with simular success.

Does anyone think this is worth doing? My Partners sister has a baby that never sleeps and she never tried anything like that???

Is it luck or worth doing to ensure you get some good  sooner rather than later after the birth.....!

It's worth a try!

I do firmly believe a solid bedtime routine from birth is really important - why not start now?!!!

well I was just reading my baby centre pg book and it says along those lines that baby can hear you talk and conversations from around 22 weeks.

Studies have shown that if a mother read a particular story on a regular basis during pg, the baby would suck harder when breastfeeding if the story was read to them at that time.

:D

I'm def going to :cheer:

Sammy is having a fairytale book for christmas :D
