Ranitidine

Hi ladies

is anyone taking ranitidine? if so when do you take your doses?

I'm on one tablet twice a day, I take one at breakfast and manage all day great no issues or need for gaviscon but then I take my next tablet in the evening and before bed I need two gaviscon tablets. I'm then taking another gaviscon tablet up to 4 Times a night and it's a right pain.

I've been considering trying both pills in the evening but I don't want to suffer during the day either

I'm just curious as to what others do

Can you ask your doc if they will prescibe 3 x ranitidine for you if its not cutting it at night?

as far as I'm aware the maximum I can take is two a day but I'll check with my midwife tomorrow

I wish I could find some, both me and my husband have prescriptions for this but it's been unavailable since before Christmas!

Hi! I just got given Ranitidine today and like you will be having one tablet in the morning and one in the evening. I'll let you know how I get on.

Do you find you need the one in the morning? As maybe it would help you to push it back to the afternoon if possible, if your symptoms in the morning aren't as bad. Or maybe try Gaviscon in the mornings and your two Ranitidine tablets at night?

I've felt reluctant to stop the morning was as last pregnancy I used to puke up lots of bile in the mornings in tri3. I might have to give it a go though, trial and error I guess. Thanks for the replies

Absolutely loved the stuff! Got some on prescription and couldn't have coped without. Think they were 150mg tabs?? Could be wrong n
