Hi everyone
So things have just settled down a wee bit for me to post my update finally.
I would like to introduce Leah Quinn born on Sunday 4th October at 12:15pm!!!!!
I went for a growth scan on wed 30th so be told I had high blood pressure, protein in urine and that my baby wasn't growing as well as they'd wanted. And I never got out! I had to call into work and tell them I was finishing immediately I was meant to have 2 weeks left! I also was very unprepared! Hadn't picked up pram, hospital bag was half packed and in general life was just chaos for those first few days I was in preparing to have a baby that week and trying to direct my family from a hospital bed!!! They kept me in for 4 days, delivering my baby at 35 weeks on Sunday by c section as she was also breech just to add to things!!
I am doing great and recovering well. Leah is in SCBU and is also doing great I just can't wait to get her home! Found it very hard being discharged from hospital without her and I was admittedly a complete emotional wreck on Wednesday night but we are now visiting daily till she gets out and I can't wait. I just want to be with her 24/7. When she was first admitted she had low blood sugar which has now stabilised and she was a little jaundiced. A wee day under the sun bed has cured that lol.
Hope this works, here she is all 4lbs 7oz of her
Apologies to October mummies for being a big queue jumper!!!! Xxxxx
