For some reason I'm beginning to doubt what I'm dressing Harry in for bedtime

Our room is around 19 degrees (prob drops to 17-18 overnight)

He usually has on a short sleeved Legless vest and then a sleepsuit. I usually then just have a cellular blanket on

What do your LOs wear? Am I being paranoid

Alyssa has a short sleeved vest, sleepsuit, sleeping bag and a blanket. tho our house can be cold and i always turn the heating off during the night if its been on in the day. her hands are sometimes quite chilly in the morning etc so im forever tucking them back into her blanket but the rest of her seems to be a cosy temp this way.

Henry has short sleeve vest, sleepsuit, socks (his feet r like icicles!) and a blanket. Our room is usually 20-21 but it drops overnight so he is usually a good temp like that.

I put Ella in a short sleeved vest and a sleepsuit or a pair of pyjamas. She then has a cellular blanket and the cot blanket over her. She has started wriggling out of both tho and ends up towards the top of the cot with no blankets! My room is 22 degrees at the mo so i only have the cellular blanket over her but ill tuck her in properly when i go to bed as it usually gets cold through the night x

oh yeah, we always put socks on Alyssa under her sleepsuit, little trainer ones lol

Emily wears a short sleeve vest, sleepsuit and a sleeping bag and our room is about 19 degrees. Before we used the sleep bag we used to have a cellular blanket doubled over (so equivalent to two blankets)

Harlow has a short sleeved vest, baby grow with a fleecy blanket and then a knitted shawl over her. Our room is usually 22 degrees. She has always been a baby that lives being warm! She won't settle unless she is snug! I'm the same so I think she gets it from me lol x

Ok so I'm probably doing ok with Harry and what he's wearing

Not sure why I got a bit of a panic on. Think it's cos I was looking at a gro bag I've got for him and the little leaflet that comes with it

That's a 2.5 tog and just says they recommend that and then a long sleeved but Legless sleepsuit. Thought his feet would be cold like that as Harry's feet are usually cold too!!

I wonder about this too.

Tilly wears a vest and the swaddle blanket then a fleecy blanket and a cellular blanket on the top

If she's not swaddled she wears a sleep suit.

It's red hot in my bedroom though so I worry about her overheating. I'd rather She was cold than hot.

I use a 2.5 tog sleep bag,but Emily still wears a vest and sleep suit. She is just right like that! :)

Nic I would think that was right too. I kinda think it's like us having pjs in then a sleeping bag

Not worked up courage to use gro bag yet for some reason it scares me?!

What do you do with the spare but at bottom (where his feet don't reach) in relation to having him feet to foot?

I felt scared to use a sleep bag at first too - didn't end up using one til Emily was about 6 weeks old. I thought she was too tiny before (6lb 4oz when born) Now she fits into the bag nicely. I just put the bottom of the bag at the bottom of the basket as she can't work her way down into the bag cos her head fits snugly in the hole for the head if you get what I mean! She wriggles about a lot, but won't slide down into the bag.

I asked this earlier this week! Others just leave it loose at the bottom of the basket/cot and that's what I'm doing. They shouldn't really wiggle down in the bag so just go as close as feet to foot as I can get with the excess fabric. Also Evie wears a shortsleeve vest, sleepsuit with integrated scratch mitts to keep her hands warm and then a 1.4 tog sleepsuit. Our bedroom is about 19/20 degrees. She did take a while to settle last night though so possibly needs a blanket as well??

Doh! Of course that's the point of them that they can't wriggle down. Should be no worries really with Harry since he's over 10lb anyway!

I have to inflict scratch mitts on Harry as he has long arms so the integrated ones just squash his fingers!! And the ones in his bigger sleepsuits he still manages to get his fingers out

My boy loves his hands too much!

Sophie is a belly sleeper so im paranoid about her getting too hot. All she wears is a sleepsuit and sometimes a blanket over her. Our room is really warm though so when she goes in her own room Ill probably put more/less on her depending how cold/warm it is.

Im paranoid about G over heating - she has on a sleepsuit (i dont tend to put vests on her unless its very cold) - a sleeping bag - and a very open weave light blanket. my temp egg says 23 - oops - maybe need to open a window tonight. xxx

Hmmm not sure if I'm underdressing Ariel now? the temp is 23 degrees and so he has on a short sleeved baby grow and a 1.0 tog grobag - I jus follow their advice leaflet as I don't want Ariel to overheat in the night. I figure he'll cry if he's too cold. Most of the time it's around 21-22 degrees and he has a long sleeved baby grow and the grobag on - he always feels toasty and warm in the mornings though.

Henry is a tummy sleeper but he wont settle if he is cold. I've tried swapping his blanket for a cellular blanket but he's not having any of it. He has the blanket joe has had since birth and likes to snuggle in it. He knows if I've put his blanket by his face and a cooler one over him. My boy will not be fobbed off lol!

Owen currently has a vest, a sleep suit and a blanket on at night x

Mum of Owen. Born 11/7/11 @ 19.17pm weighing 7lb 12 oz :)
